These are all great options, but what if you could increase your enrolments in other ways?
Let’s have a look at a couple of ways in which you could do this.
Happy Students
How many times does a student enrol, do their course, then never come back?
This could be because they weren’t happy with your courses. They didn’t like their tutor. It could be because they have gone to another education provider for their next course. Or they simply didn’t think about studying with you again.
Things go wrong sometimes. Courses get lost in the post, websites don’t work, a student doesn’t agree with what their tutor says. Some students will not be happy.
But we can try to ensure that our students are happy by –
- Offering high quality, well written courses
- Updating courses regularly to ensure that they are up to date
- Providing students with reliable, highly experienced, friendly and enthusiastic tutors and administrative support
- Responding to their enquiries promptly and efficiently
So, you’ve done all that, they finish their course and off they go into the sunset.
What has that got to do with increasing enrolments?
A happy student will hopefully tell their friends, colleagues and family about you. This can lead to more enrolments.
But the student themselves is still walking off into the sunset.
Imagine if every student recommended you to their family and friends. But even better, imagine if every student who ever enrols with you comes back and enrols again!
Getting Existing Students to Re-Enrol
- If you provide a high-quality course and service – students are more likely to enrol with you again.
- Ask them for their feedback. Listen to what they have to say and use it to improve your courses.
- Offer a discount to students when they complete a course to encourage them to study with you again.
- Tell students about new and updated courses so that they can see you are continuing to improve and expand the options available to them.
A happy student will hopefully keep coming back!
Enrolling on Multiple Courses
These are all good methods and good ideas, but another option is to actually encourage students to enrol on more than one course at the start.
The world is changing rapidly, and students need to study for a number of reasons –
- To get a new job
- To start a new career
- To start a new business
- To expand their existing knowledge and skills to get a promotion
- To update their existing knowledge and skills
- For professional development
- For interest or a new hobby
Whatever their reason, students will want courses that suit them and their needs.
This is where self-design and multiple course bundles come into play.
Case Study
Say a student wants to set up a business writing courses and articles about small animals. They need to improve their knowledge of caring for smaller animals, perhaps grooming and behaviour. But also, they need to improve their writing skills, perhaps learn more about course writing and development and even marketing. They look everywhere and can’t find a course that fits all of their needs. That is where our courses come in.
Students can enrol on self-design qualifications or multiple course bundles.
With our courses, education providers can help students to pick a range of courses to suit the student and their needs. We offer for license over 700 courses for affiliates to resell, so there are a lot of options.
So, say an education provider offered ten courses as a bundle, the student might think they would pick ten courses, say –
- Animal Behaviour
- Pet Care
- Animal Grooming
- Starting Your Own Business
- Marketing
- Course Writing and Development
- Non-Fiction Writing
- Technical Writing
- Pet Therapy
- Herpetology
This benefits the student because -
- The education provider might offer ten courses as a bundle at a reduced price. The student is then more likely to enrol on the ten courses, rather than pay one by one, costing them more in the long run.
- The student is choosing a qualification or bundle that is specifically designed to suit them and their requirements.
This benefits the educational organisation because –
- The student has enrolled on ten modules rather than one.
- There is less chance that they will leave after one module and go to another education provider.
- They are committing to working through ten modules.
- Instead of finding ten students to enrol on ten courses, they have found one student interested in studying with them, who has enrolled on ten courses.
- And the obvious benefit to the education provider is that they have taken enrolments on ten courses rather than one course, increasing their enrolment figures and revenue.
Organising Multi-Course Bundles and Qualifications
ACS Distance Education offers affiliates the options of reselling our courses. You can also choose how you organise the courses to sell them.
Multi-Course Bundles
For example, you might offer multiple course bundles, such as –
- A discount if a person enrols on more than one course.
- Specific bundles, such as – Enrol on five courses and get 10% off.
- Or offer specific pre-prepared bundles, such as a horticulture course bundle, consisting of five horticultural courses.
Certificates
You might also decide to offer specific qualifications, for example, certificates. You might decide that a certificate should contain four or six or eight modules. Once you have decided on what a certificate should consist of, you can start to design certificate you think will suit the interests of your students.
Some examples –
• Certificate in Landscaping
• Certificate in Non-Fiction Writing and Course Development
• Certificate in Smaller Animal Care
• Certificate in Ecommerce and Marketing
These bundles and certificates can then be posted on your website and draw further potential attention and interest to what you are offering.
Self-Design Bundles or Certificates
You might also offer students the option to self-design their bundles and options. The student can choose a number of modules that suit them and their requirements. As above, you might offer a discount for multiple enrolments. This will encourage the student to enrol on the bulk courses rather than simply one module as they are getting it for cheaper.
It is also a bundle or qualification that specifically fits their requirements and needs.
Making sure your students are happy is the first step to getting them to re enrol.
But offering multi-course bundles or certificates or other qualifications is a great way to get students to enrol on more than one course right from the start.
Do you want to increase your enrolments?
Would you like to offer a wide range of courses to potential students?
Would you like to use those courses to develop multi-course bundles and/or qualifications?
Would you like your students to enrol on more than one course right from the start?
Would you like to offer your students the change to design qualifications that specifically fit their needs?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, then why not get in touch with us?
